What started as a ride-hailing service in 2013 has grown into the first European super-app providing other mobility options such as micromobility and car sharing, and food and grocery delivery.

This expansion and growth allowed us to pursue our mission: to build cities for people, not cars. But with growth comes increased responsibility — and we acknowledge the complexity of global supply chains and their impacts and risks.

We needed a clear set of rules and values for our suppliers to ensure that customers, partners, and employees remain positively impacted by our services — no matter where they are.

As a result, we’re pleased to introduce our Supplier Code of Conduct (SCoC). It outlines our expectations and core principles that all suppliers must adhere to when conducting business with us or on our behalf.

Introducing Bolt’s Supplier Code of Conduct

The Bolt SCoC is based on the statements of relevant UN protocols, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labour Organisation, and other international standards.

It addresses six key areas: Human rights, labour practices, health and safety, quality, the environment, and the right to audit.

Each area’s important to us and is at the core of our business. We want to ensure that our suppliers strive to do more than just comply with legal requirements — they should aim to create a positive and sustainable impact on people’s lives and the environment.

Why’s the Supplier Code of Conduct important?

At Bolt, we’re committed to conducting our business ethically, legally, and responsibly.

We want our products and services to meet the highest quality and safety standards while respecting human rights and preventing harm to people or the environment.

The Bolt SCoC sets clear expectations for our suppliers and serves as a best practice guide. It helps us maintain our commitment to responsibility and safety and protect the interests of our customers, partners, employees, and suppliers.

We’re confident the SCoC will further help us in our goal to accelerate the transition from owned cars to shared mobility and make cities more liveable for everyone.
