Whatever they did, you can now say thanks by leaving them a tip at the end of your ride. Here’s how it works…
Here’s what you need to do:
100% of your tip will be sent to the driver. They earned it!
The option to tip your Bolt driver as appreciation for their excellent service will be available for up to 15 minutes after your ride has ended.
Bolt’s in-app tipping feature works with in-app payments only. With cash payments, feel free to tip your driver the old-school way.
Tipping is a bit like brushing your teeth — we all know it’s important, but we still debate how long we have to brush for. Is 2 minutes enough? Is 10% of the total cost about right? How much should you tip?
First of all, please remember that tipping is always optional. If you don’t feel like it, you don’t need to do it. However, if you’ve enjoyed a great ride experience and wish to express your thanks with a little extra, then our tipping feature is just perfect for you!
How much you tip can be based on a lot of things — the service, your mood or the situation you’re in. The rule of thumb is to listen to your heart and tip as much as you feel comfortable with. Whatever the amount, it will certainly please the driver and let them know that they’re doing a great job.
In addition to tipping, we’d like to remind everyone of the importance of saying thanks. It may seem like the smallest of actions but it can have a BIG impact. So, next time you step out of the car after a great Bolt ride, remember to thank your driver.
