Did your Bolt driver get you to your destination safely and quickly? Did they keep up the good mood or let you enjoy your much-needed silence after a long day? Whatever they did, you can now give them an extra thanks by leaving them a tip after your ride. Here’s how it works…
Here’s what you need to do:
100% of your tip will be sent to the driver. After all, they earnt it!
The option to tip your Bolt driver for their excellence will be open for up to 15 minutes after your ride has ended.
Bolt in-app tipping feature works with in-app payments only. With cash payments, you can tip your driver the old-school way.
Tipping is a bit like brushing your teeth — we all know it’s important, but we still debate how long we have to brush for. Are 2 minutes enough? Is 10% of the total cost about right? How much should you tip?
First of all, please remember that tipping is always optional. If you don’t feel like it, you don’t need to do it. However, if you wish to express your thanks with a bit of an extra, then don’t feel shy and go for it!
How much you tip can be based on a lot of things — the service, your mood or the situation you’re in. The rule of thumb is to listen to your heart and tip as much as you feel comfortable with. Whatever the amount, it will certainly please the driver and let them know that they’re doing a great job.
Additionally, to talking about tipping, we’d like to remind everyone of the importance of saying thanks. It may seem like the smallest of actions but it can have a BIG influence. So, next time you step out of the car after a great Bolt ride, don’t forget to thank the driver. Everyone deserves to be noticed for their great work.
Whenever you need a ride, be sure to take a Bolt. Download the app to get going!
